DENVER -- D-backs starter Shelby Miller was removed after one inning Wednesday night with tightness in his right elbow.
Miller was making his fourth start since being activated from the disabled list after undergoing Tommy John surgery last May.
Miller, who was 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA heading into the game, struggled from the outset Wednesday, allowing five runs on four hits while walking two in the first inning.
As he entered the dugout after the first inning, Miller could be seen on television grabbing at his elbow as he walked towards the tunnel that leads back to the clubhouse.
