Ross Barkley says he has played some of the best football of his Everton career - as he looks to maintain the consistency he has shown in 2017 so far.
The Wavertree-born Academy graduate has started every game for the Blues since Boxing Day, scoring two goals and providing four assists in those 10 matches.
He has excelled in a slightly different, freer role just behind Romelu Lukaku - and was widely considered as the standout performer in last weekend’s disappointing 3-2 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
Match of the Day pundit and former Everton captain Phil Neville hailed Barkley’s performance at White Hart Lane and his link-up play with Lukaku, while fans took to social media to praise the midfielder’s display.
