Everyone at Everton is wishing a happy retirement to Club Doctor Ian Irving who has announced he is finishing work with the Blues at the end of this season after 39 years of loyal service.
Dr Irving, one of the Club’s longest-serving members of staff, joined Everton way back in 1978 when Gordon Lee was manager at Goodison Park.
He took up the role from his father Meir, who had been the Everton Club Doctor for the previous 25 years.
“I have always been an Evertonian,” Dr Irving said. “As a kid, I stood behind the goal in the Boys’ Pen.
