Everton captain Phil Jagielka wants to give teammate and good friend Seamus Coleman a lift in this weekend’s Merseyside derby.
Jagielka says the players will rally around the Ireland defender and that news of his broken leg has given the squad’s motivation an “extra edge” heading into Saturday’s trip to Anfield.
The Blues were back training at USM Finch Farm on Monday for the first time since Coleman sustained his injury on Friday evening.
“There are two massive games coming up and that’s one thing Seamus will want us to do, to play well and get some good results,” skipper Jagielka told evertontv.
