The man himself believes he has been playing some of the best football of his career so far since the turn of the year, while manager Ronald Koeman, who earlier in the season had called on the midfielder to be more productive, concurs.
The statistics support that theory, too.
Barkley, who has netted two goals and provided four assists in his last 10 games for the Blues, has completed more passes, created more chances and had more possession of the ball in 2017 compared to the end of last year.
