Three Everton youngsters featured as England Under-20s recorded a 2-2 with Portugal on Thursday afternoon.
Ademola Lookman, Jonjoe Kenny and Kieran Dowell were all named in Paul Simpson’s starting line-up for the first of three scheduled friendlies taking place in France during the international break.
Callum Connolly and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, meanwhile, were unused substitutes.
Former Blue Ryan Ledson, now with League One outfit Oxford City, was also not called from the bench.
Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke opened the scoring from the penalty spot midway through the first half, before Patrick Roberts doubled the Young Lions’ advantage seven minutes before the interval with a long-range effort.
