Everton Under-23s take on Manchester City on Friday evening in a crunch clash at the top of Premier League 2.
David Unsworth’s table-topping Toffees travel to City’s Academy Stadium to take on second-placed City, a 7pm kick-off, knowing a win would extend their lead to nine points with four games to play.
The Blues head down the East Lancs in fine form, with six wins from their past six league outings.
“Everyone is looking forward to the game,” Under-23s assistant John Ebbrell told evertonfc.com. “Obviously, they are second and we are top so we want to put on a positive performance, win the game and that will put Monday’s result behind us then.
