Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman revealed how he plans to ramp up for the regular season during spring training.
The All-Star said he won’t feature for L.A. until the fourth game of Cactus League play against the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, and aims to reach 47 plate appearances by the end of spring training.
Additionally, Freeman said he wants to play in all 162 regular season games. He has played in more than 100 games every season since 2011, barring the pandemic-abbreviated 2020 season.
Freeman got to work early to ensure he was fit for the Dodgers’ three-peat campaign in 2026, as he began working out just four days after the Dodgers’ World Series parade in Nov.
