Serbian forward Nemanja Bjelica captured the attention of Timberwolves fans last season. For one, I remember when I saw him, I had no idea who he was.
However, I quickly became a fan of B-Jelly. He’s a good player, don’t mistake that.
Professor Big Shots, as they call him, was drafted in 2010 to the Wizards 35th overall prior to being traded to Minnesota. After the draft, he went back to Europe to play there, meaning that 2015-16 was Bjelica’s rookie year, despite being drafted back in 2010.
Being a small forward/power forward, Bjelica is big for his position at 6′-10″ and 240 pounds, and if you look up the stats from his rookie season not much really jumps out at you.
