Gibson has dropped his last two outings, allowing eight runs over 11 1/3 combined innings. That continued a stretch of tough luck for the right-hander, who has pitched well at times but hasn’t earned a win since his season debut March 31.
Duffy will get the ball in Game 2 against the Twins. He’ll look to build on the momentum he gained in his last start, when he threw 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball to earn his second win of the year.
