Eagles have confidence in Vaitai

Halapoulivaati Vaitai will take a deep breath on Sunday. He'll have 79,000 fans around him, Washington Redskins outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan in front of him, and most important, franchise quarterback Carson Wentz behind him.

That's enough to induce tension for any player, much less a rookie playing in his first NFL game. Vaitai, the fifth-round pick replacing Lane Johnson at right tackle for the Eagles against Washington, has the task of trying to protect Wentz and keep the line from unraveling without Johnson.

So he'll do what he learned from a psychologist who spoke to the football team at Texas Christian during his college career.
