Bucs can't come back after Musgrove struggles

PITTSBURGH -- Despite a rough start from Joe Musgrove, the Pirates nearly overcame a five-run deficit to steal a win from the Reds at PNC Park on Sunday. The rally ultimately fell short, however, as they lost, 8-6, ending their winning streak at three games.

With two outs and a two-run deficit in the eighth inning, Corey Dickerson and Josh Bell strung together back-to-back singles. Gregory Polanco then doubled to center field, scoring Dickerson. Pirates third base coach Joey Cora sent Bell home, but he was thrown out at the plate to end the rally and keep the Pirates from tying the game.
