Auston Matthews is bigger than Jack Eichel, more disciplined and more conditioned for the superstar spotlight.
In his draft-minus-1 year, Matthews scored 48 points in 24 points for the same team that Eichel scored 45 in 24 for. In their actual draft year, Matthews went to Europe to play with men in a professional league where he scored over a point per game.
